Traditional Territory Acknowledgement and Moment of Reflection

We would like to begin our meeting by recognizing the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples of Canada as traditional stewards of the land.  The municipality is located within the boundary of Treaty 18 region of 1818 which is the traditional land of the Anishnaabek, Haudenosaunee and Wendat-Wyandot-Wyandotte peoples.

  THAT Council receive Staff Report CFS.25.017, entitled “Project Status Update - Facilities - Fire Hall #2 and Ravenna Roads Depot Expansion Operations”.

  AND THAT Council direct staff to move forward with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) grant and loan for the Fire Hall #2 project.

  AND THAT Council provide direction to staff on whether they wish to bring forward the discussion to repeal the Resort Condominium Tax Class with County Council.

Drake’s Path, Price’s Development and Birch View Trail Wastewater Servicing – Follow up Report to PIC held on March 6, 2025, CFS.25.014

• Recommended (Move, Second)

  THAT Council receive Staff Report CFS.25.014, entitled “Drake's Path, Price's Development and Birch View Trail Wastewater Servicing - Follow-up Report to PIC held on March 6, 2025,  for information purposes;"

  AND THAT Council direct staff to prepare By-laws to impose the Capital Charges for the use of the Town’s Sanitary Sewage System for the Craigleith Service Area – Drake’s Path, Price’s Development and Birch View Trail for consideration at the Council meeting of March 24^th, 2025;

  AND THAT Council direct staff to apply the current interest rates as noted from Infrastructure Ontario (IO) as at March 12^th, 2025 in alignment with past practice.
