We would like to begin our meeting by recognizing the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples of Canada as traditional stewards of the land.  The municipality is located within the boundary of Treaty 18 region of 1818 which is the traditional land of the Anishnaabek, Haudenosaunee and Wendat-Wyandot-Wyandotte peoples.

    THAT the Agenda of March 17, 2025, be approved as circulated, including any items added to the Agenda.

NOTE: In accordance with the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act and the Town Procedural By-law 2023-62, Council Members must file a written statement of the interest and its general nature with the Clerk for inclusion on the Registry.

    THAT the Committee of the Whole minutes of February 24, 2025 be adopted as circulated, including any revisions to be made.

Comments shall not refer to personal, litigation or potential litigation matters, or be in response to matters that have been the subject of a Public Meeting, it being noted that the verbal commenting period has ended. Written correspondence may still be received in response to matters that have been the subject of a Public Meeting.     THAT Council receive Staff Report ADM.25.013, entitled “2024 Annual Fire Department Report” for information;

    THAT Council receive Staff Report CFS.25.017, entitled “Project Status Update - Facilities - Fire Hall #2 and Ravenna Roads Depot Expansion Operations”.

    AND THAT Council direct staff to move forward with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) grant and loan for the Fire Hall #2 project.

    THAT Council receive Staff Report CFS.25.015, entitled “Resort Condominium Tax Classification Follow Up”;

    AND THAT Council provide direction to staff on whether they wish to bring forward the discussion to repeal the Resort Condominium Tax Class with County Council.

    THAT Council receive Staff Report CFS.25.013, entitled “2024 Statement of Council Remuneration and Expenses” as required under Section 284 of the Municipal Act, 2001, for information purposes.
