We would like to begin our meeting by recognizing the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples of Canada as traditional stewards of the land.  The municipality is located within the boundary of Treaty 18 region of 1818 which is the traditional land of the Anishnaabek, Haudenosaunee and Wendat-Wyandot-Wyandotte peoples.

Re: BMAHC Request for Town Contributions to Ensure the Success of the Gateway Project at 171 King Street East, Thornbury

    THAT Council of the Town of The Blue Mountains receives the deputation material from Mylene Vincent, SHS Consulting on behalf of Blue Mountains Attainable Housing Corporation (BMAHC) regarding BMAHC request for town contributions to ensure the success of the Gateway Project at 171 King Street East, Thornbury;

    AND THAT Council directs staff to provide a staff report for consideration in the 2022 Budget discussions, in response to the request of The Blue Mountains Attainable Housing Corporation on the feasibility of the various asks;

    AND THAT Council directs staff to provide Council with a plan in the month of November, 2021 for the implementation of the proposed development charge program

     

Re: Town Budget 2022 Zero Based Budgeting

    THAT Council of the Town of The Blue Mountains receives the deputation material from Jim Torrance, Blue Mountain Ratepayers' Association regarding Town Budget 2022 Zero Based Budgeting and refers the correspondence to Financial Services;

    AND THAT Council direct staff to schedule a public meeting on January 24, 2022 to review the proposed revisions to the Sale and Other Disposition of Land Policy POL.COR.07.02 as presented in this report
