Traditional Territory Acknowledgement

We would like to begin our meeting by recognizing the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples of Canada as traditional stewards of the land.  The municipality is located within the boundary of Treaty 18 region of 1818 which is the traditional land of the Anishnaabek, Haudenosaunee and Wendat-Wyandot-Wyandotte peoples.

NOTE: In accordance with the Town Procedural By-law 2023-62 ten minutes is allotted at the beginning and end of each section of the Committee of the Whole Meeting to receive public comments regarding matters included on the Agenda. Each person shall provide their name and address, and is required to address their comments to the Chair. Comments shall not refer to personal, litigation or potential litigation matters, or be in response to matters that have been the subject of a Public Meeting, it being noted that the verbal commenting period has ended. Written correspondence may still be received in response to matters that have been the subject of a Public Meeting. If a person is unable to personally attend the meeting, or during any period where an emergency has been declared to exist in the municipality, they shall provide their Public Comments in writing to the Clerk in advance of the meeting for the Clerk to read on behalf of the author during the Public Comment Period.

  THAT Council receive Staff Report OPS.25.013, entitled “Gibraltar Stop Signs”;

  AND THAT Council directs staff to install painted stop bars on the 4^th line;

  AND THAT Council directs staff to investigate video monitoring of the intersection to assist OPP with enforcement.

Green Economy Hub Quarterly Update, OPS.25.007

  THAT Council receive Staff Report OPS.25.007, entitled “Green Economy Hub Quarterly Update”.

B.4.3

Happy Valley Reservoir Budget Increase, OPS.25.017

• Recommended (Move, Second)

  THAT Council receive Staff Report OPS.25.017, entitled “Happy Valley Reservoir Budget Increase”;

  AND THAT Council approve increasing the total project budget from the previously approved amount of $150,750 to $550,000 for the Happy Valley Reservoir Improvements.

Staging Site for Construction of Thornbury Wastewater Outfall

  THAT Council receive Staff Report OPS.25.015, entitled “Staging Site for Construction of Thornbury Wastewater Outfall”;

  AND THAT Council direct Staff to provide a staff report to a future Committee of the Whole meeting to gather input on the revitalization of Lora Bay Park following the completion of the Thornbury Wastewater Outfall Construction.

  THAT Council receive Staff Report PBS.25.020, entitled “Recommendation Report – Holding (h41) Removal – 61 Alfred Street West – Boynton Court Subdivision Blocks 1-12, Registered Plan 16M100 (P3485).”

  AND THAT Council enact a By-law (Attachment 2) to remove the Holding provision (h41) from the lands at 61 Alfred Street West, legally described as PLAN 105 LOTS 1 AND 2 PT LOT 3 RP 16R11416 PART 1.
