We would like to begin our meeting by recognizing the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples of Canada as traditional stewards of the land.  The municipality is located within the boundary of Treaty 18 region of 1818 which is the traditional land of the Anishnaabek, Haudenosaunee and Wendat-Wyandot-Wyandotte peoples.

    THAT The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Agenda of January 28, 2026, be approved as circulated, including any additions to the Agenda.

NOTE: In accordance with the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act and The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Town Procedural By-law 2025-01, The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Members must file a written statement of the interest and its general nature with the Clerk for inclusion on the Registry.

    THAT The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board minutes of October 22, 2025, be approved as circulated, including any revisions to be made.

Note: In accordance with Section 36(1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 and The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Procedural By-law, 2025-01, the Members of the Board shall appoint a Chair at the Board's first meeting each year. The Acting Recording Secretary will call for nominations for the Chair for the remainder of the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

    THAT, in accordance with Section 36(1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 and The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Procedural By-law 2025-01, _________ is appointed as the Chair of The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board for the remainder of the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

Note: In accordance with Section 36(2) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 and The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Procedural By-law, 2025-01, the Members of the Board shall appoint a Vice-Chair at the Board's first meeting each year. The Acting Recording Secretary will call for nominations for the Vice-Chair for the remainder of the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

    THAT, in accordance with Section 36(2) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 and The Town of The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board Procedural By-law 2025-01, _________ is appointed as the Vice-Chair of The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board for the remainder of the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

Note: Following the Resignation of Lynn Church on December 31, 2025, Council of the Town of The Blue Mountains appointed a New Public Appointee at the January 26, 2026 Council Meeting, to The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board for the remainder of the 2022-2026 Term of Council.

    THAT The Blue Mountains OPP Detachment Board authorizes (Board Members) to attend the 2026 OAPSB Annual General Meeting from May 31-June 2, 2026 in Niagara Falls, ON and directs the Acting Recording Secretary to register those Board Members for the conference including accommodations.
